Proprietor Atlas is owned by D&S Rowan Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 17381915. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
Products and delivery
We sell digital buyer's packs for people buying a small US business. Each pack is a spreadsheet model and a PDF guide. Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, so your purchase is also covered by Lemon Squeezy's terms at checkout. Products are delivered by download link after purchase and are provided as they stand at the time you buy.
Not advice
Our products and free pages are education and data. They are not financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy any business. Figures come from public sources (such as the SBA, the US Census Bureau and the US Energy Information Administration) and industry publications, and each one is cited. We take care with them, but sources can contain errors and figures go out of date. Check anything you rely on, and take advice from a qualified accountant, lawyer or lender before you buy a business.
License and permitted use
When you buy a product, you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for your own purposes.
You may:
- Use the product to evaluate a business you are thinking of buying
- Print copies for your own reference
- Change the spreadsheet model and enter your own figures
- Share your filled-in model or outputs with your own advisers, lender or business partners for that purchase
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute or share the product itself with others
- Upload products to file-sharing sites or public repositories
- Reproduce large parts of the content in your own publications
- Use the products to build competing products or services

Refunds
Because our products are digital and delivered at once, we do not offer refunds as a matter of course. If a product has a technical problem (a corrupted file or missing content), contact us and we will fix it or, at our discretion, refund you.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a 14-day right to cancel digital purchases. By starting the download, you agree that this right ends once the download has begun, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Intellectual property
All content on proprietoratlas.com and in our products, including text, data compilations, graphics, spreadsheet models and design, belongs to D&S Rowan Limited and is protected by copyright. Public data we cite remains subject to its source's own terms. All rights not granted in these terms are reserved.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, D&S Rowan Limited is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from use of the site or products. This includes any loss from a decision to buy, finance or run a business made using our content.
Our total liability to you for any claim about a product will not exceed what you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If you keep using the site or products after we post a change, you accept the new terms.
